Antonio is a swimmer from Spain, a sprinter and a collegiate competitor, whose official competitive record spans 14 seasons, 15 years and 97 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2012, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 800 freestyle in 11:05.95, raced in Madrid. He started out alongside C.N. JIMENEZ.
His signature event is the 100 butterfly, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle. Butterfly is where his specialisation lies (50 meets), while individual medley appears in more meets (56 meets and 79 recorded swims) because he races it across the full distance range rather than as a main event.
His fastest 100 butterfly stands at 57.69, set in long course (50 m) at Madrid.
After a 2-year break between 2018 and 2020, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2020. 2013 is the busiest season on record, with 53 verified individual swims.
Those meets span 7 different venues (Madrid, Palma, Gijón and Málaga…). He has raced for 8 clubs, led by Lewis University, Metro Aquatic Club of Miami, Club Natación Alcobendas and Swim Florida.
