Carlos is a swimmer from Spain, a sprinter, whose official competitive record spans 13 seasons, 18 years and 115 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2005, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 1500 freestyle in 17:12.59, raced in Madrid. He started out alongside C.N. ALCOBENDAS.
His signature event is the 50 backstroke, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Backstroke is where his specialisation lies (70 meets), while freestyle appears in more meets (75 meets and 464 recorded swims spread across 8 different distances) because he races it across the full distance range rather than as a main event.
His fastest 50 backstroke stands at 28.95, set in long course (50 m) at Terrassa.
After a 3-year break between 2019 and 2022, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2022. 2007 is the busiest season on record, with 195 verified individual swims.
Those meets span 11 different venues (Madrid, Palma, Valladolid and Castellón…). He has raced for C.D. TOLEDO MONTEVERDE and C.N. ALCOBENDAS.
Latest competition: PONTEVEDRA, on March 6, 2022, with 2 swims: 26.13 in the 50 freestyle and 1:14.35 in the 100 breaststroke, all in short course (25 m). He closes this record with 36 current event personal bests and 158 all-time PB improvements, across 933 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
