His recorded career begins in 2012, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 50 butterfly in 41.07, raced in Inacua.
His signature event is the 400 freestyle, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 1500 freestyle and 800 freestyle. Freestyle is the backbone of the whole record: 145 meets and 316 recorded swims.
His fastest 400 freestyle stands at 3:47.29, set in long course (50 m) at Spanish Trials 2024.
He has raced at the Olympic Games level, in 2024 (Olympic Games Paris 2024). A representative mark at that level is 7:50.07 in the 800 freestyle, recorded in long course (50 m). He also appears in world championships, continental championships, national championships and international meets.
The record runs unbroken from 2012 to 2026: 15 consecutive seasons without a single missing year. 2022 is the busiest season on record, with 77 verified individual swims.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 15 countries (Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, PER, Portugal, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Netherlands, Romania, RUS and Sweden), including 25 of 168 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 33 different venues (Granada, Málaga, Barcelona and Palma…). He has raced for UNIVERSIDAD DE GRANADA, C.N. GRANADA OGIJARES, C.N. CHURRIANA and ESPAÑA.
