Daniel is a swimmer from Spain, a sprinter and an international traveller on the circuit, whose official competitive record spans 9 seasons, 12 years, 2 countries and 18 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2014, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 100 individual medley in 1:11.60, raced in Miami.
His signature event is the 50 freestyle, his reference distance in freestyle, ahead of the 100 freestyle. Freestyle is the backbone of the whole record: 14 meets and 18 recorded swims.
His fastest 50 freestyle stands at 33.84, set in short course (25 m) at Madrid.
After a 2-year break between 2020 and 2022, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2022.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 2 countries (the United States and Spain), including 11 of 18 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 8 different venues (Katy, El Paso, Houston and Miami…). He has raced for 6 clubs, led by Smoky Mountain Aquatic Club, Katy Aquatics, Belen Jesuit Preparatory High School and Del Valle High School (TX).
