Daniel is a swimmer from Spain, a breaststroke specialist and a sprinter, whose official competitive record spans 6 seasons, 15 years, 2 countries and 28 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2009, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 50 breaststroke in 45.05, raced in Ann Barshop Natatori.
His signature event is the 50 breaststroke, his reference distance in breaststroke, ahead of the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke. Breaststroke is the backbone of the whole record: 21 meets and 34 recorded swims.
His fastest 50 breaststroke stands at 53.84, set in long course (50 m) at ST BEAT Valero Unclassif.
After a 9-year break between 2014 and 2023, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2023.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 2 countries (the United States and Spain), including 16 of 28 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 10 different venues (Margaret M. Clark Aq, Cary, Ann Barshop Natatori and Nikki Row…). He has raced for 7 clubs, led by Martigny-Natation, McAllen Swim Club, Bronc Aquatics and JF Kennedy Memorial High School.
The last race on record is dated January 19, 2023. He closes this record with 20 current event personal bests and 51 all-time PB improvements, across 84 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
