Hugo is a swimmer from Spain whose official competitive record spans 8 seasons and 51 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2019, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 50 breaststroke in 53.51, raced in Logroño. He started out alongside ESCUELA RIOJANA DE NATACIÓN.
His signature event is the 100 backstroke, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 200 backstroke and 100 freestyle. Backstroke is where his specialisation lies (27 meets), while freestyle appears in more meets (38 meets and 48 recorded swims spread across 8 different distances) because he races it across the full distance range rather than as a main event.
His fastest 100 backstroke stands at 1:07.56, set in long course (50 m) at Logroño.
The record runs unbroken from 2019 to 2026: 8 consecutive seasons without a single missing year. 2025 is the busiest season on record, with 38 verified individual swims.
Those meets span 3 different venues (Logroño, Zaragoza and Palma). He has raced for ESCUELA RIOJANA DE NATACIÓN, FED. LA RIOJA and C.N. LOGROÑO.
Still active: the directory includes official activity in the 2026 season. Latest competition: VITORIA, on June 20, 2026, with 2 swims: 29.57 in the 50 backstroke and 1:03.95 in the 100 backstroke, all in short course (25 m) and 2 PB improvements. He holds 28 current event personal bests and 203 all-time PB improvements across 147 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
