Ignacio is a swimmer from Spain, an international traveller on the circuit, whose official competitive record spans 13 seasons, 2 countries and 109 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2014 in Almuñecar, where he raced the 25 breaststroke in 31.10. He started out alongside C.N. CHURRIANA.
His signature event is the 200 backstroke, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 100 backstroke and 50 backstroke. Backstroke is where his specialisation lies (61 meets), while freestyle appears in more meets (68 meets and 105 recorded swims spread across 8 different distances) because he races it across the full distance range rather than as a main event.
His fastest 200 backstroke stands at 2:12.03, set in long course (50 m) at Palma del rio.
The record runs unbroken from 2014 to 2026: 13 consecutive seasons without a single missing year. 2023 is the busiest season on record, with 50 verified individual swims.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 2 countries (Spain and UNK), including 4 of 109 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 10 different venues (Granada, Málaga, Cádiz and Córdoba…). He has raced for C.N. CHURRIANA.
Still active: the directory includes official activity in the 2026 season. The last race on record is dated March 29, 2026 in Málaga, with 2 swims: 2:15.72 in the 200 backstroke and 2:19.35 in the 200 backstroke, all in long course (50 m). He holds 34 current event personal bests and 282 all-time PB improvements across 289 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
