Irene is a swimmer from Spain, a sprinter, whose official competitive record spans 13 seasons, 14 years and 114 meets.
Her recorded career begins in 2012, and one of her earliest marks still on file is the 50 backstroke in 34.85, raced in Logroño. She started out alongside C.N. NASSICA.
Her signature event is the 100 butterfly, the event she has raced the most, followed by the 100 breaststroke and 100 freestyle. Butterfly is where her specialisation lies (66 meets), while freestyle appears in more meets (71 meets and 111 recorded swims spread across 6 different distances) because she races it across the full distance range rather than as a main event.
Her fastest 100 butterfly stands at 1:06.30, set in long course (50 m) at Sabadell.
After a 2-year break between 2021 and 2023, she came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2023. 2015 is the busiest season on record, with 71 verified individual swims.
Those meets span 13 different venues (Logroño, Castellón, Zaragoza and Pamplona…). She has raced for C.N. LAS NORIAS, FED. LA RIOJA, C.N. LOGROÑO and C.N. NASSICA.
Latest competition: Maliaño, on February 9, 2025, with 1 swim: 30.24 in the 50 butterfly, all in short course (25 m). She closes this record with 32 current event personal bests and 148 all-time PB improvements, across 374 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
