Javier is a swimmer from Spain, a sprinter and an international traveller on the circuit, whose official competitive record spans 8 seasons, 10 years, 2 countries and 16 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2016, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 100 backstroke in 1:16.84, raced in Laurel.
His signature event is the 50 freestyle, his reference distance in freestyle, ahead of the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle. Freestyle is the backbone of the whole record: 15 meets and 29 recorded swims.

After a 2-year break between 2021 and 2023, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2023.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 2 countries (the United States and Spain), including 11 of 16 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 11 different venues (Laurel, Ogden, Palos and Tooele…). He has raced for 6 clubs, led by South Florida Aquatic Club, Pembroke Pines Charter High School, Saint Mary's Memorial High School and Thornton Township High School.
