Jose is a swimmer from Spain, a sprinter and an international traveller on the circuit, whose official competitive record spans 7 seasons, 8 years, 2 countries and 22 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2016, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 200 freestyle in 2:51.26, raced in Miami.
His signature event is the 50 freestyle, his reference distance in freestyle, ahead of the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle. Freestyle is the backbone of the whole record: 19 meets and 42 recorded swims.
His fastest 50 freestyle stands at 27.74, set in long course (50 m) at Cuarto Selectivo.

After a 2-year break between 2019 and 2021, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2021.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 2 countries (Spain and the United States), including 5 of 22 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 5 different venues (Pinecrest, Miami, Panamá and Lakewood…). He has raced for 6 clubs, led by Club Dynamo Aquatics, Gulliver Swim Club, Belen Jesuit Preparatory High School and Liga Provincial de Panama.
The last race on record is dated May 14, 2023. He closes this record with 38 current event personal bests and 73 all-time PB improvements, across 106 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
