Her recorded career begins in 1998, and one of her earliest marks still on file is the 200 backstroke in 2:08.13, raced in Sheffield.

Her signature event is the 100 backstroke, the event she has raced the most, followed by the 50 backstroke and 200 backstroke. Backstroke is the backbone of the whole record: 25 meets and 50 recorded swims.

Her fastest 100 backstroke stands at 1:00.86, set in long course (50 m) at 10th FINA World Championships 2003.

She has raced at the Olympic Games level, between 2000 and 2004 (Olympic Games Sydney 2000 and Olympic Games Athens 2004). A representative mark at that level is 1:01.96 in the 100 backstroke, recorded in long course (50 m). She also appears in world championships, the World Cup circuit, continental championships and national championships.

She is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 10 countries (the United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Canada, Croatia, Japan and UNK), including 17 of 26 meets outside the United Kingdom.

Those meets span 20 different venues (Sheffield, Sydney, Paris and Athens…). She has raced for Portsmouth N.
