Marcos is a swimmer from Spain, an individual medley specialist and an international traveller on the circuit, whose official competitive record spans 15 seasons, 10 countries and 174 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2012, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 50 freestyle in 32.62, raced in Colmenar Viejo. He started out alongside SAFA MADRID.
His signature event is the 400 individual medley, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 200 individual medley and 200 backstroke. Individual medley is the backbone of the whole record: 114 meets and 271 recorded swims.
His fastest 400 individual medley stands at 4:15.61, set in long course (50 m) at 33rd Copa de Espana de Clubes Division Honor.
His record includes national championships, in 2022 (Campeonato de España Absoluto de invierno). A representative mark at that level is 4:16.21 in the 400 individual medley, recorded in long course (50 m).
The record runs unbroken from 2012 to 2026: 15 consecutive seasons without a single missing year. 2018 is the busiest season on record, with 75 verified individual swims.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 10 countries (Spain, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Monaco and UNK), including 14 of 174 meets outside Spain.
Those meets span 19 different venues (Madrid, Sabadell, Barcelona and Castellón…). He has raced for 5 clubs, led by C.D. GREDOS SAN DIEGO, REAL CANOE N.C., C.N. TERRASSA and SAFA MADRID.
Still active: the directory includes official activity in the 2026 season. The last race on record is dated July 30, 2026 in Sabadell, with 2 swims: 4:17.00 in the 400 individual medley in short course (25 m) and 4:27.18 in the 400 individual medley in long course (50 m). He holds 33 current event personal bests and 405 all-time PB improvements across 676 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN and World Aquatics.
