Niko is a swimmer from Norway, a breaststroke specialist and a sprinter, whose official competitive record spans 6 seasons, 7 countries and 48 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2021 in Igualada, where he raced the 200 individual medley in 3:09.41.
His signature event is the 50 breaststroke, his reference distance in breaststroke, ahead of the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke. Breaststroke is the backbone of the whole record: 41 meets and 166 recorded swims.
In long course (50 m), he went from 41.59 in 2022 to a best of 31.12 in 2026 (London Legacy Meet, London, ENG): 10.47 seconds gained in the 50 breaststroke.
His record includes national championships, in 2024 (Aquatics GB Summer Championships 2024 and GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet 2024). A representative mark at that level is 1:13.15 in the 100 breaststroke, recorded in long course (50 m). He also appears in international meets.
The record runs unbroken from 2021 to 2026: 6 consecutive seasons without a single missing year.
He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 7 countries (the United Kingdom, Spain, UNK, the United Arab Emirates, Norway, Portugal and Thailand), including 47 of 48 meets outside Norway.
Those meets span 24 different venues (London, Sheffield, Sabadell and Vilafranca Del Penedès…). He has raced for 7 clubs, led by Chelsea and Westminster Swimming Club, Bangkok Elite Swim Team, Lambertseter SK and C.N. BARCELONA.
