Oliver Klemet

SG Frankfurt · GER

Oliver is a swimmer from Germany, a distance freestyler and an international traveller on the circuit, whose official competitive record spans 10 seasons, 13 countries and 54 meets.

His recorded career begins in 2017, and one of his earliest marks still on file is the 50 backstroke in 28.05, raced in Baunatal. He started out alongside TV Wetzlar.

His signature event is the 1500 freestyle, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 400 freestyle and 800 freestyle. Freestyle is the backbone of the whole record: 52 meets and 172 recorded swims.

His fastest 1500 freestyle stands at 14:39.03, set in long course (50 m) at 136th German National Championships.

He has raced at the Olympic Games level, in 2024 (Olympic Games Paris 2024 and Olympic Games, La Defense Arena, FRA). A representative mark at that level is 3:46.59 in the 400 freestyle, recorded in long course (50 m). He also appears in world championships, the World Cup circuit, continental championships, national championships and international meets.

The record runs unbroken from 2017 to 2026: 10 consecutive seasons without a single missing year. 2019 is the busiest season on record, with 32 verified individual swims.

He is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 13 countries (Germany, Sweden, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, RUS, Singapore, Switzerland, Ireland, Japan and UNK), including 28 of 54 meets outside Germany.

Those meets span 21 different venues (Berlin, Stockholm, Magdeburg and Rome…). He has raced for German Swimming Federation, Hessischer Schwimm-Verband, SG Frankfurt and TV Wetzlar.

Still active: the directory includes official activity in the 2026 season. Latest competition: 2026 European Aquatics Championships (50m) in Paris, on August 16, 2026, with 1 swim: 3:45.16 in the 400 freestyle, all in long course (50 m). He holds 22 current event personal bests and 88 all-time PB improvements across 200 verified official swims in competitions governed by World Aquatics and European Aquatics.
