PAULA JUSTE SANCHEZ

ESP

Paula is a swimmer from Spain, an international traveller on the circuit and a national-level swimmer, whose official competitive record spans 15 seasons, 17 countries and 228 meets.

Her recorded career begins in 2012, and one of her earliest marks still on file is the 200 backstroke in 2:18.47, raced in Olot. She started out alongside C.N. LLEIDA.

Her signature event is the 200 freestyle, the event she has raced the most, followed by the 400 freestyle and 400 individual medley. Freestyle is the backbone of the whole record: 161 meets and 346 recorded swims.

Her fastest 200 freestyle stands at 1:57.82, set in long course (50 m) at Campeonato de España Absoluto de invierno.

Her record includes world championships, between 2019 and 2024 (7th FINA World Junior Championship and 7th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships 2019). A representative mark at that level is 4:41.79 in the 400 individual medley, recorded in long course (50 m). She also appears in the World Cup circuit, continental championships, national championships and international meets.

The record runs unbroken from 2012 to 2026: 15 consecutive seasons without a single missing year. 2018 is the busiest season on record, with 128 verified individual swims.

She is a genuinely international swimmer: the official record spans 17 countries (UNK, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Portugal and RUS), including 163 of 228 meets outside Spain.

Those meets span 39 different venues (Lleida, Barcelona, Sabadell and Terrassa…). She has raced for Club Natacion Terrassa, FED. CATALUÑA and C.N. LLEIDA.

Still active: the directory includes official activity in the 2026 season. The last race on record is dated July 30, 2026 in Sabadell, with 1 swim: 1:01.88 in the 100 individual medley, all in short course (25 m) and 1 PB improvement. She holds 39 current event personal bests and 386 all-time PB improvements across 980 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN and World Aquatics.
