Sergio is a swimmer from Spain whose official competitive record spans 7 seasons, 10 years and 63 meets.
His recorded career begins in 2008 in Madrid, where he raced the 25 freestyle in 16.82. He started out alongside C.D.N. TORREJON.
His signature event is the 200 individual medley, the event he has raced the most, followed by the 400 individual medley and 100 butterfly. Individual medley is where his specialisation lies (30 meets), while freestyle appears in more meets (40 meets and 83 recorded swims spread across 8 different distances) because he races it across the full distance range rather than as a main event.
His fastest 200 individual medley stands at 2:13.79, set in long course (50 m) at Terrassa.
After a 4-year break between 2008 and 2012, he came back to racing and the record picks up again in 2012. 2016 is the busiest season on record, with 55 verified individual swims.
Those meets span 7 different venues (Madrid, Gijón, Terrassa and Castellón…). He has raced for C.D.N. TORREJON and C.N. ALCOBENDAS.
Latest competition: M86_MADRID in Madrid, on December 2, 2017, with 2 swims: 2:10.03 in the 200 individual medley and 4:43.52 in the 400 individual medley, all in short course (25 m) and 1 PB improvement. He closes this record with 36 current event personal bests and 204 all-time PB improvements, across 232 verified official swims in competitions governed by RFEN.
